Waloo is the free app for your community: group and private chats, voice and video calls, voice messages, photos and videos, a feed for your news, and animated emoji that bring every conversation to life. Messages are end-to-end encrypted.
A 30-second tour: group chats, voice messages, calls with live emoji, the feed, and safety.
One simple app for family, friends, classmates, teams, churches, neighbourhoods and any group of people who want to stay close.
Create a group and invite people with a short code, or chat one-to-one with your contacts.
Call your contacts and group members. A real ringtone rings even when Waloo is closed.
Tap the mic, speak, send. Voice messages are end-to-end encrypted too.
Big moving stickers and reactions, during chats and even during calls.
Share photos, videos up to 25 MB, music and documents. Forward or share them to other apps.
Post news, photos and videos. Choose who sees each post: everyone, your contacts, or only you.
Optional: find Waloo users around you. Only an approximate area (about 1 km) is used.
Notifications for messages, calls, missed calls, contact requests, likes and comments.
We built Waloo so families and communities can trust it.
Chat texts, stickers and voice messages are encrypted on your phone. Not even we can read them.
Every photo and video is checked on the phone before it is sent or posted. Adult content is refused.
Block anyone in one tap. Report messages and posts; our team reviews every report.
Contacts must accept your request before you can chat or call. Feed posts can be contacts-only.
No phone number needed. Sign in with email or Google.

Yes. Waloo is free and shows a few ads. You can remove ads for an hour by watching a short video.
No. Chat texts, stickers and voice messages are end-to-end encrypted on your phone. We only see a message if someone reports it and their phone sends us the text they saw. Feed posts are not encrypted, because they are meant to be seen by others.
This happens on a new phone or after reinstalling Waloo. It usually disappears within seconds, as soon as the chat key is renewed. To keep your old messages, update Waloo instead of uninstalling it.
Some phones stop apps in the background. Open Settings > Apps > Waloo > Battery and choose "Unrestricted". On Tecno, Infinix and itel, also turn on Waloo in Phone Master > App auto-start.
In Waloo, tap your photo at the top right, then "Delete account". Or follow the steps on our account deletion page.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Waloo. See our Terms and Child Safety Standards.
Questions, problems, or something to report? We read every message.
Use "Report" in the app on any message or post, or email us with details.
